Ryan Christie has signed a three-year contract extension with Bournemouth, keeping him at the club until June 2029. The Scotland international joined Cherries in August 2021, and helped the club to promotion to the Premier League in his first season. He has since been instrumental in the club's rise to qualification for European football for the first time in their history in the 2025–26 season — finishing sixth in the top flight. They will play in the Europa League. Christie played 177 matches in all competitions, including 124 in the Premier League. He has scored 10 goals and 17 assists so far. "FC Bournemouth say we are delighted to announce that Ryan Christie has signed a new contract with us." Christie played 26 matches in the 2025–26 season, scoring 2 goals. Christie told the club's website: "It's a fantastic feeling. I'm really happy. It's been an incredible year for the club, especially with the end of the season, qualifying for Europe. I'm already looking forward to next season. The World Cup is coming up, so it was a perfect time for me to secure a new contract, now I can fully focus on next season. To be honest, I want it to start already.
