Tickets bought by England fans for Monday's World Cup last 16 match against Mexico have been relisted for thousands of pounds on FIFA's official resale portal. The most expensive tickets are listed as four together, with a base price of $605 (£460), now selling for $30,000 (£22,800) per ticket. The buyer must pay a 15% FIFA fee, which brings the total cost to $34,500 (£26,220) - 57 times the principal price. The seller will also pay FIFA a 15% fee of $4,500 (£3,420), but will still make a profit of $25,500 (£19,380) per ticket. The cheapest ticket costs $3,448 (£2,620) in total, with the main ticket costing $295 (£224) - almost 12 times the original price. The Football Association confirmed that the tickets were bought through the England Supporters' Travel Club (ESTC) ballot, following the draw in December. Members earn 'caps' by appearing in games. Supporters with the highest cap will get priority for the best matches and cheapest tickets. On Friday morning, 76 tickets were listed in the 'Supporter' category behind the England section. It is not possible to confirm whether these tickets are being sold by the original ESTC buyer, or purchased by another party and later listed at a higher price. ESTC allocated tickets can only be purchased by users who have self-identified as a 'Fan of' England when registering with FIFA. Prices are determined by the seller and indicate only a suggested price, not what the buyer is willing to pay. The FA cannot restrict the resale of these tickets as this is authorized by FIFA. Tickets in the cheapest, $60 (£45) category, however, cannot be listed for resale. The ESTC announced on Tuesday that a domestic match anti-touting policy is being introduced following a successful trial. The match in Mexico City kicks off at 01:00 BST on Monday and will be broadcast live on BBC One. The ESTC, which costs £65 for renewing adult members, has been allocated 3,000 tickets for the match, which cannot be extended. A total of 4,373 members applied for a ticket, meaning the game was significantly overbooked. Any supporter who got at least 27 caps was guaranteed a ticket at top price. Tickets can only be listed after England's place is confirmed with a win over DR Congo in the Round of 32 on Wednesday night.
