Hull KR kicked off Magic Weekend 2026 with a 26-12 win over Hull FC. The win saw Hull KR consolidate their position in the top six of the Super League, with Hull FC in 10th and Bradford behind them. It was Hal Robbins' eighth consecutive derby win, with Andy Last's side tiring in the closing stages. Hull led KR 12-4 in the first half, with two tries coming from tries from Mike Lewis and Reece Martin. Martin converted his own try to take the team to double figures and later added a penalty. Hull FC hit back with a try through Jake Arthur, but they were eight points behind at the break after Zak Hardaker failed to convert. Hull FC came back in the second half with a converted try and a hard-taker penalty, but Rovers regained control. Jai Whitbread and Tyrone May scored tries and Martin added another penalty to seal a 26-12 Derby victory. Both Hull's supporters bring excitement to derby matches. In the first 15 minutes of the match, Sousso Su and Briscoe's efforts were disallowed. But Lewis' effort was first followed by a powerful try from Martin shortly after. Hull FC then scored a goal through Arthur to make the score 10-4. Hull KR were then awarded a penalty for a dangerous tackle by Cade Cust and Martin converted to take an eight point lead into the break. Hull FC made a strong comeback in the second half and Briscoe's try was converted by Hardaker to make the score 10-12. But Hull KR secured the win in the end.
