The reason for this acceleration is that the construction of the stadium is considered to be of national importance for the sake of Euro 2032. A special order issued by Commissioner Massimo Cesare reduced the administrative approval period for the stadium project to 90 days. Earlier it took 6 months for approval. Note that the stadium will have a capacity of 60,000 spectators and will be used as Roma's home ground instead of the current Stadio Olimpico.
