S.S. Lazio said today they have received a letter from an independent commission, regarding the index of the cost of money. According to this letter, the club can register new players, but the condition is that some of the existing players of the club must be sold. That is, in order to add new players to Lazio, some of the old ones must be sold first. Lazio will have to abide by this zero-cost transfer policy, as they can't buy players like they used to. If new coach Gattuso wants to bring in new players, he will have to drop some of the old ones. However, club president Lotito also gave an indication last year that he would not make any new investments for the club.
