Inter Milan are on the verge of signing Marco Palestra from Atalanta, with the 21-year-old's agent Alessandro Lucci arriving in Milan to finalize the final details. The deal is expected to be confirmed in the next 24 to 48 hours. Fabrizio Romano said the total value of the deal will be around €50 million, including bonuses. Also, discussions on percentage of sales are ongoing. Inter have already finalized personal terms for a five-year deal with the Palestra, worth around €3 million net per season. Premier League clubs at the Palestra rejected offers from Chelsea and Manchester City to help put Inter at the top of contract talks. Atalanta have added an extra layer to the financial structure of the deal insisting on a sale clause, which could push the total price to over €50 million. The broad agreement between all the parties has been in place for some time, the rest of the details relating only to the financial points, there being no discrepancy in the fundamentals of the agreement. Palestra excelled at Cagliari last season and established himself in the Nerazzurri's plans, earning his first senior Italy call-up. He will replace Denzel Dumfries, who will move to Real Madrid.
