Alemany's position is clear, the transfer market is a mystery

Background

Why is this important?

At the start of the season, Atlético Madrid have made the right plans with their squad formation, which will strengthen their competitive position. Discussions between Nigel Alemany and coach Diego Simeone have helped them sign the right players, who will act as substitutes in times of injury or out of form.

Team formation for the 2023-24 seasonAtlético MadridDid it long ago. The coach of the teamDiego Simeoneand sporting director of the clubNigel AlemanyThe two discussed in detail the strengths, weaknesses and needs of the team before the start of the season. Based on these discussions, Atletico were able to sign the necessary players before the start of the season, and even signed some substitute players to avoid any problems due to injury or lack of form when the season started. For example,Julian Alvez,BarcelonaSimeone had a lot of confidence in the on-loan forward, so Simeone planned to play Julian in the starting XI from the start of the season. But in the case of Julian, it is the opposite. Simeone was not satisfied with his performance, with Julian playing a total of 35 minutes in the pre-fixtures held in the last week of July and the first week of August. As a result, Julian has now been left out of the starting XI. Alemany said in an interview, "We saw Julian as a big investment for the season. We bought him on loan but we believe he will be a permanent transfer for us at the end of the season."

Alemany added, "Julian is a special type of player, he can change the course of the game with his presence on the field, but he is yet to adapt to the new environment. I am sure he will be back to his best form very soon." Another interesting aspect of Alemany's interview is that he made some cryptic comments about the transfer market. Naming some of the targets for the transfer market next season, Alemany said, "We are looking at some important players, but I cannot reveal their names yet. Because if I reveal their names yet, there will be some discomfort in the clubs of those players." Alemani's comments have left many confused. Because did Alemany really plan to bring in some big names in the upcoming transfer market, or was this a strategic comment by Alemany so that other clubs are not aware of Atlético's plans. And of course there are any players behind Alemany's comments whose names, if mentioned, would cause discomfort at their current clubs. The football world is now buzzing about these issues.

What will happen next?

Towards the end of the transfer market, Atlético Madrid may plan to sign some more players, especially if they want to strengthen their current squad. Julian Alvez's situation will be monitored, as his performance could be crucial for the team.
