Andre Villas-Boas has expressed his excitement over the return of his old player Andre Silva to Porto, saying it is "a child's homecoming". "Silva left too soon and now he's back with all the experience he's gained from winning Europe," he said.
"We are proud to have him back, because he knows this house better than anyone and he knows what it means to be Porto," said Porto's president.
"Andre Silva knows how to succeed in every corner of the club," added Villas-Boas.

He said of Silva's desire to return, "Silva has wanted to return for a long time. In our first phone conversation we discussed Porto and his return home."
"We want to keep the core strength of the team and strengthen the squad with these types of players," Vilas-Boas said of Porto's summer transfer strategy.
He added, "Nothing needs to be said about Andre Silva. He knows what it means to be Porto and he wants to lead us to success."
