Chelsea full-back Lucy Bronze has signed a new one-year deal with the club. The Blues announced the news in an official press release this morning. The 34-year-old was out of contract at Stamford Bridge this summer, but has opted to stay at Chelsea for another year. Bronze joined Chelsea from Spanish giants FC Barcelona in the summer of 2024. She won a domestic treble with the Blues in her first season and won another Subway Women's League Cup last season. Bronze has made 56 appearances for Chelsea so far and scored 5 goals. While the 2025/2026 season has been disappointing for Chelsea, Bronze is hoping for more success at the club this season. After re-signing with Chelsea, Bronze said, "It feels like the right decision for me at this time. I've really enjoyed the last two years at Chelsea and in England and I think we're at a point now where we're moving forward as a club. With the move to Stamford Bridge, it's a really exciting time to be part of the team." More Chelsea team news will be announced soon.
