Holland national football team coach Ronald Koeman has expressed his displeasure with his players' lack of focus in the match with Tunis. Holland won the 3rd round group stage match 3-1.
Koeman said, "We aim for a good game, and this kind of carelessness with the ball is unacceptable. When you play against stronger teams... we saw in our matches against Japan and Sweden, mistakes like that can cost us dearly. We expected a good start, and we got it; we went 2-0 up very quickly. We continued to play well after that, but at times they were becoming more dangerous on the counter-attack. We played better before and after the break. It wasn't. If we had played a little bit faster, it would have been clear that we had nothing to worry about."
The World Cup 2026 will be held from June 11 to July 19. Holland will face Morocco in the knockout stage.
