How quick the thunder and roar that heralds the sudden approach of a storm. That's exactly what happened, taking Inter Milan by surprise. The higher authorities at Viale de Liberazione face an unexpected storm. They should have learned history. The ongoing talks between Inter and Atalanta over Marco Palestra suddenly took a different turn with the aggressive arrival of Chelsea. Chelsea have offered over fifty million euros for the Palestra, which would be fifty million euros on loan. Inter are ready to pay fifty million euros to bring the Palestra, but they do not want to participate in any auction. A meeting with Palestra's agent Alessandro Lucci was held by Inter officials, where Palestra expressed his interest in joining Inter Milan. But now, due to Chelsea's interest in Palestra, whether Palestra will join Inter Milan or not is now in doubt. Chelsea wanted to know about Wesley before expressing an interest in Palestra, but Roma have confirmed they will not sell their player. As a result, the Palestra became an option for Chelsea. Chelsea's offer for the Palestra is much higher than Inter's offer for the Palestra. Palestra's salary at Chelsea would be six million euros per year, while Inter's offer was a little over two million euros. Inter were ready to bring in Palestra, but are now in doubt as to whether or not Palestra will be able to pass Inter's eligibility test. If Palestra leaves for Chelsea, Inter will now have to find an alternative to Dumfries.
